Featuring a 1600dpi alternate MatrixCCDTM with EPSON Micro Step drive for a sub scanning resolution of 3200dpi, the Perfection 1650 series can capture maximum image detail. The internal and external 48-bit colour depth enables the capture of a staggering 281 trillion colours and 16,384 shades of grey ensuring even the most subtle colour changes will be recognised.

The comprehensive software bundle included with the Perfection 1650 offers the versatility of enhancing and manipulating images with ArcSoft PhotoImpression 3, high level OCR editing with Presto, and ease of use with the EPSON Smart Panel for scanner - enabling the Start button to be customised to user requirements including the new 'Scan to Web' feature. In addition the Perfection 1650 Photo version has the added advantage of Adobe PhotoShop Elements for professional image editing. The 4 QuickStart buttons on the front panel permit the scanning and sending of data with a single press of a button - even enabling photos to be sent directly to the Internet.

Available in 2 configurations the Perfection 1650 series meets a variety of requirements. The standard specification is ideal for high-quality image and document scanning. The Perfection 1650 Photo comes complete with a built in 35mm x 6 frame transparency unit for scanning negatives and transparencies and is ideal for amateur and professional photographers alike.

Both configurations can be upgraded with an optional 4x5 transparency unit.
