A remarkable breakthrough in high quality imaging, the EPSON Expression 1680 offers graphics professionals 1600 x 3200 dpi optical resolution and true 48 bit colour. Optimised to consistently deliver enhanced colours, subtle highlights and sharp shadow detail, this scanner sets exceptional standards in quality, whilst maintaining EPSON's dedication to ease of use and value for money.

To ensure the finest image quality, the Expression 1680 features four of our most advanced scanning technologies. Micro Step Drive for high resolution, Dynamic Range Control to get the most out of transparencies, Simultaneous RGB scanning and Precision Optical Lenses providing superior full edge to sharpness and clarity.

In addition the Expression 1680 features unique Dual Position Focus which provides pinpoint focusing for both reflective and transparent media. The film holders supplied with the optional transparency unit (standard with the Expression 1680 Pro) eliminate unsightly Newton rings by holding the transparency away from the bed of the scanner. The Dual Focus system adjusts to focus at this new distance to give sharp accurate results.

The Expression 1680 is built to the highest standards throughout, right down to the precision die-cast aluminium chassis, resulting in the highest reliability and allows high speed throughput. The Expression 1680 offers the reliability and throughput that is crucial to professional graphics studios and businesses.

Both the Expression 1680 and Expression 1680 Pro come with a wide range of high quality software including Adobe Photoshop Limited Edition, Xerox Textbridge Classic, Presto! PageManager, EPSON TWAIN Pro 2, TWAIN Pro 2 Network and Scan Server software. In addition the Expression 1680 Pro includes the transparency adapter as standard.
